The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 110 MW floating solar project at the Kadana dam reservoir in Mahisagar, Gujarat.

Bids must be submitted by March 12, 2025. Bids will be opened on March 18.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹201.6 million (~$2.43 million) and a tender fee of ₹17,700 (~$213.25).

Selected bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the contract value for 21 months.

They must design the project and provide EPC services for a 33 kV underground transmission line to the pooling station and 33/220 kV bays at the Kadana Substation. They must also sign a 10-year comprehensive operations and maintenance agreement.

Successful bidders must use solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

The project must be completed within 18 months from the letter of intent.

Bidders must comply with at least one of the following requirements:

• They must have experience with at least one 10 MW floating solar project or a 30 MW project under execution
• They must have experience with 110 MW ground-mounted solar projects
• They must have designed, supplied, erected, supervised, and commissioned/executed at least one 65 MW project, two 45 MW projects, or three 25 MW projects

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹3.36 billion (~$40.48 million) over the last three years and a net worth of at least 100% of their paid-up share capital.

Recently, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company invited bids to implement a 6 MW floating solar project at PPSP Upper Dam, Purulia Pump Storage Project Site, Purulia, West Bengal.

In January, the Cochin Port Trust invited bids to set up a 1.5 MW grid-connected floating solar project under the renewable energy service company model.
