Engineering Projects India (EPI) has issued an expression of interest (EoI) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 250 MW grid-connected solar project in Rajasthan.

The project is proposed to be developed near the 220 kV Bikaner-IV substation at Ambaran in Rajasthan, with interconnection at the 220 kV level.

Bids must be submitted by February 7, 2026. Bids will be opened on February 9.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹1 million (~$10,900), and a tender fee of ₹5,900 (~$64). The selected bidder must submit an EMD of ₹265 million (~$2.89 million).

The scope of work includes the design and engineering, procurement, manufacture, supply, civil works, erection, testing, commissioning, and performance demonstration of the solar project.

The scope also includes the complete power evacuation system up to the interconnection point at the 220 kV Bikaner-IV substation, along with the associated transmission line. It also entails operation and maintenance of the project for three years.

Bidders must have experience within the last 10 years as an EPC contractor or developer for grid-connected, ground-mounted, or floating solar projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 30 MW. At least one of these projects must have a capacity of 10 MW or more.

Bidders must have an average minimum annual turnover of ₹4 billion (~$43.64 million) during FY 2022-23, FY 2023-24, and FY 2024-25. In addition, they must have a minimum net worth of ₹800 million (~$8.73 million) as on March 31, 2025, or alternatively demonstrate solvency of at least ₹3.2 billion (~$34.91 million).

Recently, EPI invited expressions of interest to empanel experienced agencies as joint venture, consortium, associate, or back-end partners for upcoming solar engineering, procurement, and construction projects across India.
