Enfinity, Welspun, NLC, Adani Win NTPC’s 1.2 GW Wind-Solar Hybrid Auction

EG Solwin Renewables (Enfinity Global), Welspun Renewable Energy, NLC India, and Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve (Adani Green) were declared winners in NTPC’s auction to develop 1.2 GW interstate transmission system-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects (Hybrid 03).

EG Solwin, Welspun, and NLC won 300 MW, 250 MW, and 450 MW at a tariff of ₹3.35 (~$0.0387)/kWh.

Adani quoted ₹3.36 (~$0.0388)/kWh to win 200 MW out of the quoted capacity of 600 MW under the bucket-filling method.

The tender was issued in October last year.

Each bidder, along with its parent, affiliate, ultimate parent, or any group company, could submit a single bid offering a contracted capacity ranging from a minimum of 50 MW to a maximum of 600 MW. The quoted contracted capacity was to be in multiples of 10 MW.

The rated power capacity of one resource (wind or solar) must constitute at least 33% of the total contracted capacity, with a maximum capacity of 600 MW.

The tender specified using commercially established and operational technologies to mitigate technology risks and ensure the timely commissioning of the projects.

The wind turbines used in the projects must be type-certified models from the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

The solar modules used in the projects must be included in MNRE’s List-I under the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules.

JSP Green (Jindal Renewables), Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra), Green Prairie Energy IV (EverGreen Power), AMPIN Energy Utility, Adani Renewables Energy Holding Twelve (Adani Green) won NTPC’s Hybrid 02 auction to supply 1.2 GW wind-solar hybrid power from projects connected to the inter-state transmission system.
