Dimension Energy, a community solar developer, owner, and operator, has secured $857 million in additional capital to expand its distributed solar portfolio in the U.S.

The financing comprises a $200 million increase to the company’s corporate credit facility and a $657 million construction-to-term debt and tax equity financing package.

Nuveen Energy Infrastructure Credit and funds and accounts managed by HPS Investment Partners are the lead lenders for the $200 million increase.

The transaction raises Dimension Energy’s total corporate credit facility to $650 million.

The company said the facility will support the advancement of projects in its distributed solar pipeline from development into construction.

Separately, the $657 million financing will support 29 distributed solar projects totaling 149 MW across Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Advantage Capital served as the tax equity investor. MUFG Bank, First Citizens Bank, ING Capital, and National Bank of Canada led the debt package as coordinating lead arrangers. Fifth Third Bank served as joint lead arranger.

“These new commitments from our financing partners reflect the strength of our platform,” said Rafael Dobrzynski, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Dimension Energy. “This capital will enable us to keep scaling with discipline and speed at a moment when demand for distributed power has never been higher.”

Dimension Energy currently owns more than 600 MW of distributed energy assets that are operating or under construction. The company said the latest financing will support its growth to 1 GW of operating assets by 2028.

In April, the company secured $650 million in construction and term financing to support a portfolio of 25 community solar projects with a combined capacity of 132 MW in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois.

Announced large-scale solar project funding increased by 71% in the first half of 2026 compared with the funding raised in the same period in 2025, according to Mercom’s recently released 1H and Q2 2026 Solar Funding and M&A report.

Recently, European Energy, a renewable energy project developer, has reached financial closure of €234.1 million (~$270 million) for a 225 MW agrivoltaic project in Vizzini, Sicily, Italy. European Energy arranged the financing on behalf of Sun Project, the project’s developer and borrower.
