Damodar Valley Corporation Issues Tender for 10 MW Floating Solar Project

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has issued a tender for the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 10 MW grid-connected floating solar project in Jharkhand.

The last date to submit the bids is November 11, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The project will be located on the raw water reservoirs of Chandrapura Thermal Power Station in Chandrapura, Bokaro district.

Bidders must pay an earnest money deposit of ₹6.57 million (~$78.2 million) and ₹35,000 (~$416.87) for the cost of the tender document.

Bidders must have designed, supplied, and erected or supervised the erection and commissioned or supervised the commissioning of grid-connected solar power projects with a total installed capacity of at least 5 MW, including at least one project of 2 MW or more.

The project of 2 MW or above must have been operational for at least six months before the bid submission deadline.

Bidders must be developers of grid-tied solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 5 MW or more, including at least one project with a capacity of 2 MW or above.

The project must have been operational for a minimum of six months before the bid submission date.

The reference solar project with a capacity of 2 MW or more must be located at a single site, developed by the bidder either for itself or a client.

The net working capital for the last financial year, or access to credit facilities from a scheduled commercial bank, must be at least ₹131.4 million (~$1.5 million).

The bidders’ average annual turnover for the last three financial years must be at least ₹262.9 million (~$3.12 million).

Their net worth must be at least 100% of the paid-up share capital as of the last day of the previous financial year.

Recently, DVC invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and five-year operation and maintenance of an 8 MW grid-tied ground-mounted solar power project at the DVC plant in Hazaribagh District, Jharkhand.

In February last year, DVC invited bids from engineering, procurement, and construction contractors to commission an 8 MW ground-mounted solar project in Dhanbad.
