The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 20,044 MW of solar module capacity. The cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM now stands at 193,188 MW.

The Vijayawada Division of the South Central Railway announced the winner of the auction to install 46 rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 1415 kW.

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) proposed shortening the scheduling time in the real-time market (RTM) in the power exchanges from 75 minutes to 50 minutes before delivery. Introduced in June 2020, the RTM operates with a gate closure occurring 60 minutes before the start of the delivery block.

The CERC proposed a one-time framework to address renewable energy projects that secured transmission connectivity under the General Network Access regulations based on Letters of Award, but for which power purchase agreements have not been signed within 12 months.

The Gujarat Energy Development Agency issued the guidelines for the development of solar, wind, and wind-solar projects with or without battery storage systems, as well as standalone battery storage systems.

Renewable energy solutions company Hopewind is powering over 650 MW of utility-scale battery energy storage systems across two major projects in Rajasthan, deploying more than 260 units of its 2.5 MW central power conversion system. These projects are ongoing, with further deployments expected.

The Government of India and the European Union launched a joint funding initiative worth €15.2 million (₹1.69 billion) to support research and innovation in electric vehicle battery recycling under the India-EU Trade and Technology Council’s Working Group 2 on Green and Clean Energy Technologies. Proposals must be submitted by September 15, 2026.

REC Power Development and Consultancy issued two requests for proposals to select transmission service providers to build, own, operate, and transfer interstate transmission systems to evacuate 21.5 GW of renewable energy in Gujarat. Bids for both tenders must be submitted by July 6, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission approved the Bihar State Power Holding Company’s proposal to procure 300 MW of wind-solar hybrid power through Solar Energy Corporation of India under the inter-state transmission system (ISTS) Hybrid Tranche-IX on a 25-year basis.

The West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission approved Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation’s petition to procure 600 MW of power from ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid projects at tariffs ranging of ₹3.74 (~$0.039)/kWh and ₹3.75 (~$0.04)/kWh.

Norway-based renewable energy solutions provider Scatec reported revenue of NOK1.64 billion (~$177 million) in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, down 31.3% year-over-year (YoY) from NOK2.39 billion (~$258 million). The company attributed the revenue decline to a NOK426 million (~$45.96 million) divestment gain recognized in the same quarter last year.

Shoals Technologies Group, a manufacturer of electrical infrastructure solutions for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and data center power systems, reported Q1 2026 revenue of $140.6 million, an increase of 74.9% YoY from $80.4 million. Revenue exceeded analyst estimates by $11.41 million.

U.S.-based solar tracker company FTC Solar reported revenue of $17.3 million in the first quarter of 2026, down 17% YoY from $20.8 million and missing analyst expectations by $7 million. The company’s adjusted EBITDA loss was $8.2 million compared to a loss of $9.8 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
