Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra) and UPC Renewables won SJVN’s auction to set up 600 MW inter-state transmission system-connected wind power projects on a build-own-operate basis. Adyant Enersol won 70 MW at a tariff of ₹3.98 (~$0.0460)/kWh. UPC Renewables quoted a tariff of ₹3.99 (~$0.0461)/kWh to win 100 MW.
The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission directed the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to refund ₹14.3 million (~$171,600) to a wind power generator in excess wheeling and transmission charges levied between April 2016 and May 2023.
Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission rejected a solar power company’s plea seeking compensation to offset the financial and commercial impact of increasing central goods and services taxes on solar cells.
NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam issued a tender for an 8 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project at the Defence Research and Development Organisation Hyderabad campus. Successful bidders must provide operation and maintenance services for 10 years from the project’s completion.
The Haryana Power Purchase Centre, a joint venture between Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam invited bids to procure 500 MW of solar power from grid-connected projects in the state. Selected bidders must design the project to deliver energy at a distribution company or Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam grid station.
Blueleaf Energy, a Singapore-based renewable energy platform, partnered with Noida-based Jakson Green to invest $400 million to develop 1 GW solar projects in Rajasthan. The project aims to generate over 1,800 GWh of renewable energy annually, meeting the energy needs of over 1.5 million Indian households.
U.S.-based power producer NextEra Energy reported a 21.69% year-over-year drop in consolidated revenue to $5.38 billion in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025 from $6.88 billion. The top line declined 21.7% YoY due to weaker contributions from Florida Power & Light Company and NextEra Energy Resources, the company’s renewables arm.
