The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has issued an e-tender inviting consultancy services to verify the designs and drawings of 25 solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The projects with capacities of 10 MW to 100 MW are located near Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) wasteland across Gujarat.
The last date for submitting the tender online is October 7, 2021. The last date for the physical submission of documents is October 18, 2021.
Bidders must pay ₹1,475 (~$20) plus 18% Goods and Services Tax towards the tender fee and ₹28,143 (~$382) as an earnest money deposit.
The estimated cost of the tender is ₹2.8 million (~$38,197.76), and the bidder must pay a security deposit of 5% of the tender value. The project must be completed within 15 months from the letter of commencement or till the completion of the project, whichever comes later.
The consultancy project includes two stages; the first stage will be design verification for the project management services, and the second stage will be drawing verification.
Bidders should have completed similar work (or work under progress) in the last seven years until the last day of the previous month. These works must be carried out for central and state government or semi-government or GSECL, GETCO, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company (DGVCL), Madhya Gujarat Vij Company (MGVCL), Uttar Gujarat Vij Company (UGVCL), or Paschim Gujarat Vij Company (PGVCL).
The work under progress must be equivalent to three similar completed projects, each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. For two similar completed projects, it must not cost less than 50% of the estimated cost. One similar completed project, costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost, will be required.
The bidder must have experience checking drawings of main structures of solar projects in the last seven years.
In August this year, GSECL invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of 224 MW of grid-connected solar projects ranging from 10 MW to 55 MW at various substations of GETCO.
Last week, the Railway Energy Management Company Limited (REMCL), a joint venture of the Indian Railways and RITES Limited, issued a notice inviting tender to enroll agencies or consultants to set up solar projects. These consultants will conduct surveys, prepare feasibility and detailed project reports (DPR) for solar photovoltaic projects in various Indian states.
