Coal India Subsidiary Tenders 5 MW Floating Solar Project in West Bengal

Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India, has invited bids to commission a 5 MW grid-connected floating solar project for Eastern Coalfields at the quarry sump of Dalmia OCP Salanpur Area in West Bengal.
The project should be commissioned within 270 days of receiving the work order. The developer must also oversee the project’s operation and maintenance for five years.
The estimated tender value is ₹310.14 million (~$3.69 million).
The last day to submit the bids is October 24, 2024. Bids will be opened on the next day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹3.87 million (~$46,094).
The selected bidder must furnish 5% of the contract amount as a performance security within 21 days of the letter of award being issued.
Bidders must have completed similar works related to the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and testing of grid-connected ground-mounted, rooftop, or floating solar projects.
They must have completed three similar completed works, each costing not less than 20% of the estimated cost put to tender, or two similar completed works, each costing not less than 25% of the estimated cost put to tender or one similar completed work costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost put to tender.
The average annual financial turnover during the last three years, ending March 31, 2024, should be at least 30% of the estimated cost put to tender.
Bidders must provide a certificate confirming the possession of sufficient working capital, which should be at least 20% of the annualized value or estimated value, whichever is less of the specified work.
This working capital should include access to lines of credit and the availability of other financial resources necessary to meet the project requirements.
Earlier, CMPDI invited bids for the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and testing of grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 13 MW.
