An increasing number of commercial and industrial (C&I) entities, residential apartment complexes, and large institutions are seeking to transition to renewable energy options that are more cost-effective than conventional energy. Among such options, rooftop solar has emerged as one of the most affordable and effective sources.

Solar energy solution providers are leveraging technology advancements, financing options, and evolving regulations to offer attractive solutions to customers looking to install rooftop solar systems.

Coimbatore is one of the most industrialized cities in Tamil Nadu. Businesses in the city are increasingly adopting solar energy to not only save on power costs but also gain a competitive edge by operating sustainably.

Mercom India will host its second C&I Clean Energy Meet of 2026 in Coimbatore on February 5, 2026, to raise awareness among businesses about the benefits of adopting renewable energy. The event will also help them understand the available, affordable solutions that will enable these businesses to achieve greater cost savings and energy efficiency from renewable energy.

The event will benefit C&I businesses with high power requirements, clean energy solutions providers, energy auditors, equipment and component manufacturers, lenders, investors, and industry associations.

By attending the C&I event, participants can identify options for sourcing low-cost, reliable clean power; learn how India’s energy market is evolving; support a smooth transition to clean energy while navigating technology and financing challenges; and gain practical insights on the energy transition from industry leaders and experts.

Registrations for the day-long event will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by an inaugural session from 10:35 AM to 10:55 AM.

The first panel discussion, titled “Rooftop Solar – Harnessing the Green Route to Reducing Electricity Bills,” will feature Sudheer Garimella, General Manager, Business Development at Candi Solar, and Rahul Kodali, MD at Vyomaa Energy.

This will be followed by a session covering “Clean Power Purchase – Switching to Renewable Energy and Optimizing Savings,” featuring Suresh R, Senior Manager at Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, and Rahul Makahaniya, Chief Marketing Officer at Soleos Energy.

These sessions will be followed by a networking tea break and a case study presentation by Lauritz Knudsen on reliability, safety, and performance in switchgear architecture.

The presentation will be followed by a session titled “Attractive Financing Options – Easy and Affordable Green Loans,” with MBL Khan, DGM at SIDBI, and S N Balaji, AGM at the Bank of Maharashtra participating as panellists.

This will be followed by hour long networking lunch break, and the event will conclude with a Q&A session from 2:50 PM onwards.
