Ceylon Electricity Board Tenders 10 MW Solar Project in Vavunathivu

Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has tendered a 10 MW solar project to be developed in Vavunathivu in Sri Lanka. This is a global tender and the deadline to submit project proposals to CEB is August 15, 2017.

The project will be developed on a build, own, operate basis and CEB will be the off-taker. The power purchase agreement will be signed for a 20-year period. The CEB has fixed LKR18.37 (~$0.122)/kWh as the upper tariff ceiling for this tender.

The scope of work includes procurement of land, clearance certificates, government approvals, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the project. The successful bidder will also be responsible for interconnection of the solar project to the gantry.
