CERC Reduces Forbearance Price of Solar RECs to Rs.2,400 (~$36.91)/MWh

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has issued new forbearance and floor prices for Renewable Energy Certificates (REC). The forbearance price of solar RECs will be Rs.2,400 (~$36.91)/MWh and the floor price will be Rs.1,000 (~$14.962)/MWh. The forbearance price for non-solar RECs will be Rs.3,000 (~$46.14)/MWh and the floor price will be Rs.1,000 (~$14.962)/MWh. These new REC prices will be applicable from April 1, 2017.

Mercom previously reported, that the CERC had proposed a forbearance price of Rs.2,500 (~$37.41)/MWh for solar RECs and Rs.2,900 (~$43.39)/MWh for non-solar RECs.
