Mercom India is hosting the second edition of the Clean Energy Meet series, “C&I Clean Energy Meet 2023,” which will bring together commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers in the country to engage with renewable energy solution providers and gain insights into procuring green power and saving on operating costs.

The event in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is scheduled for September 15, 2023, at Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels, Race Course.

Coimbatore is one of the most industrialized cities in the state, with a large number of foundries, textile mills, and automobile units.

Units in these sectors can potentially reduce their electricity expenses by transitioning to solar energy. Switching to renewables has become imperative for C&I consumers in the state where electricity tariffs have increased by 6%.

Solar power is an appealing choice for businesses in the C&I sector seeking to lower operating costs. The emergence of various business models has heightened interest in solar energy adoption.

The event will see industry experts present solar and other clean energy solutions, technology updates, financing options, and regulatory information.

Mercom aims to facilitate discussions between clean energy solution providers and consumers to address their power needs, challenges, and opportunities.

The event will begin with a brief inaugural session, followed by the first panel discussion titled: “Clean Power Purchase – Options and Technologies Maximizing ROI.” The panelists for the session are Amit Barve, BU Head Solar at Panasonic, Adithya Gundimeda, BDM at Enerparc, Bharat Singh TN, Head of Sales & Marketing (India) at Deye Inverters and Manikandan, Founder Director at Spero Mobility and Energy.

The second session, titled: “Clean Energy –Large Power Purchase, Higher Savings,” will have SI Balaji, Associate Vice President at Evolve Energy, Pratik Bhatt, Senior Vice President – BD at Insolare,  Vivek Ganapathi, AGM – DG C&I at LONGi Solar and Nataraj.S, Senior Assistant Vice President – RE Projects at Swelect Energy, as panelists.

The concluding session is titled: “Innovative Financing Solution – Ways to Access Cheap Loans.” The panelists for the session are Sibi R, DGM at SIDBI, Karthikeyan J, Vice President CBG at Axis Bank, and Dileep Singh Yadhav, DGM B&O AO Coimbatore at SBI.

The event will be beneficial for clean energy solution providers looking to connect with commercial and industrial unit owners, financing agencies, investors, professionals, facility and plant and procurement managers, and decision-makers.
