Bokaro Power Invites Bids for Maintenance of 2 MW Solar Project

Bokaro Power Supply Company (BPSCL), a joint venture of SAIL and DVC, has issued a tender for the maintenance of a 2 MW solar project in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, for two years.
The last date to submit the bids is October 10, 2024. Bids will be opened on October 11.
The scope of work includes providing a suitable approach road to reach the solar project, repairing and renovating the water supply line to make it functional, replacing defective inverters, energy meters, and other accessories, and removing dust and dirt from the solar panels, inverters, and distribution boxes to achieve optimum power output.
The successful bidder will have to clean the modules twice a week and ensure the continuous availability of data related to the solar project through a cloud-based data acquisition system.
The estimated cost of the work is ₹5.21 million (~$62,042).
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹100,000 (~$1,190).
They must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹781,000 (~$9,300) in the previous three consecutive financial years.
Bidders should have experience completing similar work in India in any public sector undertaking, government or semi-government organization, or a company registered under the Companies Act during the last seven years.
Similar work refers to a work order that involves executing the installation, commissioning, or maintenance of a solar project with a minimum installed capacity of 2 MW.
The value of such work order shall be any of the following:
- Three similar completed works, each costing not less than ₹781,000 (~$9,300).
- Two similar completed works, each costing not less than ₹1.04 million (~$12,384).
- One similar completed work costing not less than ₹1.82 million (~$21,672).
Recently, Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency issued two requests for proposals for the engineering, procurement, and commissioning of 14 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects on government land in Palamu and East Singhbhum districts.
JREDA also invited bids for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of 68 mini/micro solar systems with a total capacity of 1.39 MW for five years.
