BPCL Tenders 52 MW Solar Project in Uttar Pradesh

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a ground-mounted 52 MW solar power project at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

The last date for the submission of bids is June 21, 2024.

The operation and maintenance (O&M) period will commence from the date of the operational acceptance test. Bidders should quote the O&M charges, considering the warranty periods for the various equipment/components specified.

Bidders must quote a minimum of ₹100,000 (~$1,198)/ MW as comprehensive O&M Cost.

The successful bidder will have to furnish a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the base value of the contract order.

Eligible bids can be submitted by Indian bidders who have completed three financial years after the date of commencement of business and Class-I and Class-II local suppliers.

Bids by joint ventures and consortiums will not be accepted.

BPCL reserves the right to accept any tender. They are not obligated to accept the lowest tender and retain the authority to reject any or all tenders received without providing any reason.

The estimated completion time for the job is six months from the date of the Letter of Award. is issued.

Bidders must have completed similar works in India within the last seven years.

The completed works should be either one similar work with a capacity of at least 41.6 MW, two similar works, each with a capacity of at least 26 MW, or three similar works, each with a capacity of at least 20.8 MW.

Similar works are defined as EPC execution of solar projects on a turnkey basis, including design, supply (inclusive of modules and inverters), installation, and commissioning of grid-connected solar power projects.

The average annual turnover of the bidders for the last three audited accounting years should equal to ₹690.4 million (~$8.3 million). Bidders should have a positive net worth.

Recently, BPCL awarded the consultancy contract for a 52 MW solar power project at Prayagraj to Ahasolar Technologies.

In February, BPCL invited bids to set up a green hydrogen plant and refueling station at the 100% solar-powered Cochin International Airport in Kochi, Kerala.
