Bharat Petroleum Floats Consultancy Tender for 50 MW of Wind Power Projects

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has invited bids for consultancy services to set up 50 MW of wind power projects in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The scope of work includes the preparation of tender documents and specifications for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract, evaluation of tender documents and bids submitted by the bidders, finalizing the bidders, and approval of design and other documents related to the project, supervision of project execution, commissioning activities for all civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and related works.
The last date to submit the bids is June 22, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must submit ₹100,000 (~$1,211) as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder must furnish an amount equivalent to 10% of the total contract value as a performance security deposit.
Bidders should have completed similar work for a wind power project of a minimum capacity of 50 MW in a single order during the last seven years as of the last day of the month before the one in which the tender was floated.
For Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), bidders should have completed similar work for a wind power project of a minimum capacity of 42.5 MW in a single order during the last seven years.
The average annual turnover of bidders for the last three financial years should be equal to or greater than ₹8.51 million (~$103,072).
They should have a positive net worth per the latest audited financial statement.
The consultant should prepare the tender documents within six weeks from the issuance of the letter of award and evaluate bids within five weeks.
The agency will also be responsible for ensuring the projects are commissioned within 18 months from the letter of award and monitoring the project for 12 months thereafter.
Delay in completing the work will attract liquidated damages of 0.5% of the basic value of the contract for every week of delay, subject to a maximum of 5% of the total contract value.
Last November, BPCL issued a tender to hire consultancy services for setting up 6.9 MW of floating solar power projects in the rainwater harvesting pond and shore tank farm in Kochi, Kerala.
Earlier, BPCL had floated a tender for hiring a contractor to set up a 14 MW grid-connected solar power project on a turnkey basis at its Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.
