The Assam Power Generation Corporation (APCGL) has floated a tender to provide project management consultancy (PMC) services for setting up the 50 MW Lower Kopili Solar PV project.

The last date to submit is August 7, 2024. Bids will be opened on August 8.

The scope of work covers project management services, design and engineering, project monitoring, site supervision and reporting, and coordinating with the company to complete tasks in a stipulated time.

Bidders must provide the services of a full-time resident consulting engineer and other experienced engineers to supervise the construction and commissioning of the plant. They must also coordinate with the company in the various initial operations and commissioning activities and conduct performance and acceptance tests of the units, equipment, and systems.

Bidders must pay an earnest money deposit of ₹200,000 (~$2,388.5) and a non-refundable tender document fee of ₹2,000 (~$23.88).

They should have provided PMC services for one commissioned ground-mounted or floating solar project of a capacity of not less than 25 MW in the last three years.

The minimum average annual turnover of the bidders in the preceding three financial years as of the date of technical bid opening should be ₹10 million (~$119,432).

For companies less than three years old, the average annual turnover should be ₹7.5 million ($89,561), calculated based on the number of years of operation.

Earlier this year, APGCL floated a tender to develop a 25 MW ground-mounted solar project on a turnkey basis in Dibrugarh district. The company, along with Oil India, was launching a joint venture to develop the solar project at the Namrup power station.

In 2023, APGCL invited bids from consultants to provide PMC services for a 20 MW floating solar project at Son Beel Lake in the Karimganj district.
