Electric vehicle charging stations will have a uniform energy charge of ₹6.70 ($0.0784)/kWh across all voltage levels (11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV, and 220 kV). Green power consumers will pay ₹12.25 (~$0.1434)/kWh across all voltage levels.
Industrial Consumers
LT general industries will have a fixed charge of ₹75 (~$0.8777)/kW and an energy charge of ₹6.70 (~$0.0784)/kWh. HT supply will have a fixed charge of ₹475 (~$5.5610)/kVA.
The Time-of-Day (ToD) Tariff for High Grid Demand (Feb-Mar 2026, Apr-May 2025, and Sep-Oct 2025) is as follows:
Peak Hours (6 AM – 10 AM and 6 PM – 10 PM)
- 11 kV – ₹7.80 (~$0.0913)/kWh
- 33 kV – ₹7.35 (~$0.0861)/kWh
- 132 kV – ₹6.90 (~$0.0808)/kWh
- 220 kV – ₹6.85 (~$0.0802)/kWh
Off-Peak Hours (12 AM – 6 AM and 10 AM – 3 PM)
- 11 kV – ₹5.55 (~$0.0650)/kWh
- 33 kV – ₹5.10 (~$0.0597)/kWh
- 132 kV – ₹4.65 (~$0.0544)/kWh
- 220 kV – ₹4.60 (~$0.0538)/kWh
Normal Hours (3 PM – 6 PM and 10 PM – 12 AM)
- 11 kV – ₹6.30 (~$0.0737)/kWh
- 33 kV – ₹5.85 (~$0.0685)/kWh
- 132 kV – ₹5.40 (~$0.0632)/kWh
- 220 kV – ₹5.35 (~$0.0626)/kWh
The ToD Tariff for Low Grid Demand (Jun-Aug 2025, Nov-Jan 2026) is slightly lower during peak hours:
- 11 kV – ₹7.30 (~$0.0855)/kWh
- 33 kV – ₹6.85 (~$0.0802)/kWh
- 132 kV – ₹6.40 (~$0.0749)/kWh
- 220 kV – ₹6.35 (~$0.0743)/kWh
LT seasonal industries (off-season) will pay a fixed charge of ₹0.75 (~$0.0088)/kW and energy charges of ₹7.45 (~$0.0872)/kWh.
HT consumers will have a fixed charge of ₹4.75 (~$0.0556)/kVA and energy charges of ₹7.65 (~$0.0896)/kWh at 11 kV, ₹6.95 (~$0.0814)/kWh at 33 kV, ₹6.70 (~$0.0784)/kWh at 132 kV, and ₹6.65 (~$0.0778)/kWh at 220 kV.
Energy-intensive industries will incur a fixed charge of ₹4.75 (~$0.0556)/kVA and energy charges of ₹5.80 (~$0.0679)/kWh at 11 kV, ₹5.35 (~$0.0626)/kWh at 33 kV, ₹4.95 (~$0.0580)/kWh at 132 kV, and ₹4.90 (~$0.0573)/kWh at 220 kV.
Cottage industries of up to 10 horsepower will have a fixed charge of ₹0.20 (~$0.0023)/kW and energy charges of ₹3.75 (~$0.0439)/kWh.
Domestic Consumers
The LT category has a fixed charge of ₹10 (~$0.1170)/kW across all slabs. Energy charges are:
- 0 to 30 units – ₹1.90 (~$0.0222)/kWh
- 31 to 75 units – ₹3.00 (~$0.0351)/kWh
- 76 to 125 units – ₹4.50 (~$0.0527)/kWh
- 126 to 225 units – ₹6.00 (~$0.0702)/kWh

For HT domestic consumers (townships, colonies, gated communities, villas), the fixed charge is ₹75 (~$0.8777)/kVA, with an energy charge of ₹7.00 (~$0.0819)/kWh across all voltage levels.
Grid Support Charges
Conventional generators must pay ₹50 (~$0.5852)/kW monthly. Renewable energy projects, including waste heat recovery, municipal solid waste, and co-generation projects, must pay ₹25 (~$0.2926)/kW. Rooftop solar projects under net or gross metering pay ₹15 (~$0.1756)/kW monthly. Co-generation sugar mills must pay ₹25 (~$0.2926)/kW per month for four months or the actual operation period, whichever is higher. These charges do not apply if a project is shut down for over two months.
Green Tariff
The green tariff program allows obligated and non-obligated entities to purchase renewable energy from distribution licensees without changing consumer categories. Entities must place a requisition at least one month in advance and can voluntarily exceed their renewables purchase obligation (RPO). The green tariff for FY 2026 is set at ₹0.75 (~$0.0088) above the normal tariff. Consumers opting for this receive monthly digital certificates verifying their renewable energy consumption.
Any electricity consumer, including domestic users, can source 100% renewable energy by paying the additional green tariff. However, the requisition must be for at least one year, with month-wise energy consumption specified. If an obligated entity purchases renewable energy beyond its required RPO or a non-obligated entity purchases up to 100% renewable energy, this excess will count toward the RPO compliance of the distribution licensee. Revenue generated from green tariff sales is recorded as power sale revenue and distribution licensees must maintain separate accounts for consumer categories, sales, and revenue under this scheme.
