JSP Green (Jindal Renewables), Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra), Green Prairie Energy IV (EverGreen Power), AMPIN Energy Utility, Adani Renewables Energy Holding Twelve (Adani Green) won NTPC’s auction (Hybrid 02) to supply 1,200 MW wind-solar hybrid power from projects connected to the inter-state transmission system (ISTS) with a greenshoe option of up to 600 MW.
JSP Green won 350 MW at a tariff of ₹3.38 (~$0.0395)/kWh.
Adyant Enersol, Green Prairie Energy IV, and AMPIN Energy Utility won 150 MW, 200 MW, and 150 MW, respectively, at a tariff of ₹3.44 (~$0.0402)/kWh.
Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve won 350 MW at ₹3.44 (~$0.0402)/kWh under the bucket-filling method.
The tender was floated in August this year.
The minimum project size was mandated to be 50 MW and in multiples of 10 MW thereafter. The maximum capacity that could be allotted to a single bidder was 600 MW, excluding additional capacity under the greenshoe option.
Bidders were specified to maintain a capacity utilization factor of 30% for the projects.
Bidders must use wind turbines that are type-certified models listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The solar photovoltaic modules used in the projects must be included in MNRE’s List-I under the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules.
In July 2024, Juniper Green Energy, JSW Neo Energy (JSW Energy), TEQ Green Power (O2 Power), Adyant Enersol (Datta Infra), and Avaada Energy were declared winners in NTPC’s auction for the supply of 1,000 MW power from ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects under Tranche VI.
In April 2024. Sprng Energy, AMPIN Energy Transition, Juniper Green Energy, ReNew Solar Power, and Avaada Energy won NTPC’s auction for the supply of 1,000 MW power ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects under Tranche V.
