The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL) has invited bids to build a 10 MW solar power project on a turnkey basis along the Teesta Canal bank in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal.
The last date for bid submission is March 7, 2024. Bids will be opened on March 11. Bids will not be accepted from a consortium or a joint venture.
The tender is for the procurement, fabrication, galvanization, installation, and fixing of steel structures, solar modules, array junction boxes, surge protection devices, and lightning arrestors.
WBSEDCL has estimated the cost of procurement and installation of the equipment to be ₹1.29 million (~$15,540), excluding GST. Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹25,840 (~$311).
The project is being set up along the Teesta Canal bank between the Mahananda Main Canal and the tailrace channel of the Teesta Canal Fall Hydroelectric Project at Haptiagachh.
Bidders should have executed at least one 33/11 KV or above sub-station or solar project equipment worth ₹1 million (~$12,000) or more.
They should have a minimum average annual turnover of 30% of the estimated cost of tender, or ₹387,000 (~$4,660), during the last three consecutive financial years. And the net worth for each of the last three financial years should be positive.
The selected bidder will have to complete the supply, delivery, and installation of the equipment within six months of being awarded the contract. WBSEDCL will then take over the project after a successful demonstration for 30 consecutive days.
Last year, WBSEDCL floated a tender for three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of 40 MW ground-mounted solar projects along the Teesta canal bank in Uttar Dinajpur, Salboni, Paschim Medinipur, and Khemasuli (Patni) in Medinipur.
Earlier, it invited bids for a three-year O&M contract for an existing 10 MW solar power project at Santaldih in the Purulia district of West Bengal.
