Waaree Solar Americas, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has secured a supply order for 599 MW of solar modules from a U.S.-based developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.

The modules will be manufactured in Waaree’s manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas.  The modules are expected to be delivered by 2026.

The company has secured 1.2 GW of new module orders in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.

Waaree had recently won an order to supply 586 MW of solar modules for $176 million from a U.S.-based utility-scale solar and energy storage projects developer and operator. The module supply is scheduled to commence from the financial year 2027.

To meet the growing demand for modules, Waaree Energies is expanding capacity at the the Brookshire facility by adding 1.6 GW, taking the total to 3.2 GW by the end of 2025. The company had said at the time that the expansion aligns with its strategy to derisk its global operations by strengthening its presence in key markets. It said the expansion reflects the company’s belief in the U.S. as the next engine of the industrial revolution.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025, Waaree Energies was one of the top module suppliers in 2024. The company accounted for 10.7% of module supply in India. The company had topped the domestic solar module supplier list in 2024.

In March 2025, Waaree Energies also established a 5.4 GW solar cell gigafactory facility in Chikhli, Gujarat.

As of Q4 2025, Waaree Energies has a module manufacturing capacity of 15 GW and a cell manufacturing capacity of 5.4 GW. The company is considering setting up a 6 GW ingots and wafers manufacturing plant by FY 2027. It is also planning to expand its module manufacturing capacity in India by 4.8 GW in FY 2027.
