The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids to set up 110 MW of solar power projects in Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar solar parks.

The projects comprise 35 MW of solar projects in Kanpur Nagar solar park and 75 MW projects in Kanpur Dehat solar park.

Bids must be submitted by May 27, 2025. Bids will be opened on May 28.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹800,000 (~$9,387)/MW and a performance bank guarantee of ₹2 million (~$23,468)/MW/project.

They must also submit a document fee of ₹29,500 (~$346) and a document processing fee of ₹100,000 (~$1,173) plus 18% GST for 35 MW projects and ₹300,000 (~$3,520) plus 18% GST for 75 MW projects.

The scope of work entails setting up 110 MW solar projects on a build-own-operate-maintain basis.

Selected bidders must also develop street lighting for internal roads, drainage systems, and weather monitoring stations.

They must also sign a 25-year power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation.

Successful bidders must set up the projects’ interconnection delivery point at the grid station and develop a dedicated transmission line from their substation/switchyard. They must also ensure a minimum capacity utilization factor of 17%.

Only commercially established and operational technologies must be deployed to minimize the technology risk and achieve timely project commissioning. Solar modules must be procured from companies included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

The project must be completed within 24 months.

Bidders must have a net worth of at least ₹8 million (~$93,874)/MW and a maximum annual turnover of ₹3.4 million (~$39,896.6)/MW in the previous financial year.

In September 2024, UPNEDA invited bids for 320 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects in eight locations in Jalaun.

In March 2024, UPNEDA floated a tender to select solar project developers to set up 600 MW grid-connected solar power projects in Jhansi Solar Park.
