Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids to set up a 5 MW solar power project in Mau, Uttar Pradesh.

Bids must be submitted by March 10, 2025. Bids will be opened on the next day.

Bidders must submit a document fee of ₹29,500 (~$340) and a document processing fee of ₹200,000 (~$2,305) plus 18% GST.

They must also furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹800,000 (~$9,223)/MW.

Selected bidders must furnish ₹2 million (~$23,053)/MW as a performance bank guarantee within 30 days of issuing the letter of intent.

The project’s declared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) must be at least 19%.

In the first ten years, successful bidders must supply energy to the procurer at the delivery point to achieve annual CUF between +10% and -15% of the declared annual CUF for the power purchase agreement (PPA) term.

They must use only commercially established and operational technologies to minimize technological risks and ensure the project’s timely commissioning. They must also use solar modules from the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

The project must be commissioned within 15 months of signing the PPA.

UPNEDA will provide the necessary land in Saraisadi village on a 30-year lease of ₹15,000 (~$173)/acre/annum after signing the PPA.

Bidders must have a minimum net worth of ₹8 million (~$92,214)/MW of the quoted capacity as of the last date of the last financial year or at least seven days before the bid submission deadline.

In November last year, UPNEDA invited bids for 2 MW rooftop solar systems with battery backup for captive use in government buildings. The scope of work included designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning the rooftop solar systems. It also involved testing the complete system and providing a remote monitoring system.
