As renewable capacity accelerated, transmission infrastructure became central to ensuring clean power reached demand centers efficiently and reliably. This session examined how substations, transmission corridors, transformers, and grid connectivity systems needed to expand in alignment with generation growth to avoid curtailment and stranded-asset risks. Panelists addressed planning frameworks, procurement strategies, equipment supply constraints, and capital deployment models, and examined how transmission readiness could support sustained and large-scale renewable energy expansion.
