THDC India has invited bids for the project management and consultancy (PMC) services for the development of an 11 MW floating solar power project at the Khurja Super thermal power project site at Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

The scope of work includes design review and validation of all the design calculations, documents, and drawings submitted by the contractors and other original equipment manufacturers to ensure specification & statutory requirements.

The last date to submit the bids is September 27, 2023. Bids will be opened the next day.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹4.6 million (~$55,340).

There is no earnest money deposit for this tender. Selected bidders will also be exempted from paying any performance bank guarantee.

Bidders must quote the contract price on a lump-sum firm price basis, which should remain firm during the entire contract period.

The work must be completed within nine months of the effective contract date.

Only suppliers meeting the ‘Class-I local supplier’ criteria, which necessitate a minimum local content of 50%, are eligible to submit bids.

Bidders must not have received a declaration of ineligibility from the Government of India, State Government, Government Department, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Banks due to corrupt and fraudulent practices, poor performance, or failure.

Bidders from a country that shares a land border with India will be eligible to bid in this tender only if they are registered with the Competent Authority.

In July this year, THDC India invited bids to empanel consultants to acquire land to develop 2,000 MW ultra mega renewable energy parks in Rajasthan under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Solar Park Program.

Last year, THDC India signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC) to develop large solar power projects with a combined capacity of 10 GW. As per the MoU, THDC will form a special-purpose vehicle with RREC as a joint venture company to implement renewable energy parks.
