Rate Contract Tenders Floated for 3,000 Polycrystalline Solar Modules
The last date for submitting the bids for both tenders is September 28, 2021
Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has invited tenders for two rate contracts. The first tender has invited bids to procure 2,000 mono or polycrystalline solar photovoltaic (PV) modules qualifying for domestic content requirement (DCR). The second tender has invited bids to manufacture 1,000 polycrystalline solar PV modules.
The last date for submitting the bids for both tenders is September 28, 2021. Bids will be opened the next day.
Contract for 160 W DCR modules
The rate contract must be valid up to October 2021. The bidder must procure 160 Wp DCR mono or polycrystalline solar PV modules made from 36 polycrystalline silicon solar cells.
The bidder should be registered as a company or sole proprietor firm or partnership firm or joint venture (JV) as on the date of floating the tender.
The bidder must be an original Indian PV module manufacturer or an authorized dealer. The bidder should have a minimum of 5 MW/annum PV module automated in-house manufacturing facility. The modules must be manufactured at the vendor’s facilities.
The bidder should have manufactured and supplied a cumulative 1 MW of 160 W or above modules in the previous year.
The tender specifies that 20% of the quantity is earmarked for medium and small enterprise (MSE) suppliers. Out of the 20%, 4% is reserved for procurement from MSEs owned by scheduled caste or scheduled tribe entrepreneurs.
Bidders must quote fixed prices for the entire delivery period on freight-on-road (FOR) REIL, Kanakpura Jaipur basis, including packing, forwarding, freight, insurance, and unloading of material.
The entire quantity must be supplied within two weeks from REIL’s delivery clearance. REIL reserves the right to split the quantity and award two or more vendors based on the project requirement.
Contract manufacturing of 1,000 of 75 W modules
The rate contract must be valid up to December 2021. The bidder must manufacture each polycrystalline solar PV module from 36 polycrystalline silicon solar cells. REIL reserves the right to split the quantity and award two or more vendors based on the project requirement.
The entire quantity is required in one or two lots and supplied within two weeks from REIL’s delivery clearance.
Earlier this month, REIL invited bids to supply 200,000 monocrystalline or multicrystalline silicon solar cells of wattage output 4.57 W.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, REIL has floated tenders to procure 86,610 modules.
