Tender Issued for Shifting a 2.4 MW Solar Power Project in Tiruchirappalli

The Tiruchirappalli City Corporation has issued a tender for the design, shifting, installation, and commissioning of an existing 2.4 MW solar power project from the Panchappur sewage treatment plant to the 7.2 MW solar power project premises in Tiruchirappalli City Corporation, Tamil Nadu.
The shifted project will be put in parallel operation, and power evacuation will be merged with the 7.2 MW power evacuation system. The proposed substation will be established at the new integrated bus stand at Panchappur in Tiruchirappalli, where the project will be connected for power evacuation.
The contractor will be responsible for setting up interconnecting underground transmission system at an 11 kV voltage level up to the campus transformer. Operation and maintenance (O&M)for ten years will also vest with the contractor.
The last date to submit the bids is September 9, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must pay a bid processing fee of 10,000 (~$125.31) and an earnest money deposit of 320,000 (~$4,010).
The selected contractor must furnish an unconditional and irrevocable performance bank guarantee equivalent to 2% of the total contract value within 14 days from the letter of intent.
Within a month before the expiry of the performance bank guarantee of the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract, the contractor must furnish an unconditional and irrevocable performance bank guarantee equivalent to 100% of the one-year O&M value of the contract.
Bidders must have designed, supplied, installed, commissioned, or supervised the commissioning of solar photovoltaic grid-connected projects of cumulative installed capacity of 2.4 MW or more in central government, state government, local body, or public sector undertakings. The projects must be in operation for the last six months before the issue of the document.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of 10 million (~$125,315) in the preceding three financial years. They must have a positive net worth for the last year.
In December last year, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued an EPC tender for a 5 MW (AC) grid-connected solar power project at V.O. Chidambaranar Post Trust in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.
