Tata Memorial Center has issued a tender for a 1 MW grid-connected solar power project at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Mohali, Punjab.

The project is estimated to cost ₹42.1 million (~$566,354).

The last date to submit bids is January 28, 2022. Technical bids will be opened on February 2.

Bidders must submit ₹842,000 (~$11,327) as an earnest money deposit. Successful bidders must provide a contract performance guarantee of 5% of the project cost and 2.5% of the contract value as a security deposit.

The project should be completed within five months from the letter of intent.

To be eligible, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed similar works of the following amount in the last seven years ending the previous day of the last date of tender submission. The bidder should have completed one similar work of value not less than ₹33.6 million (~$451,764), or two similar works of value not less than ₹25.2 million (~$338,823), or three works of value not less than ₹16.8 million (~$225,882) in the last seven years. The value of the executed works will be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 7% per annum, calculated from the date of completion to the last date of receipt of applications for tender.

Bidders must have had an average turnover of not less than 50% of the estimated projected cost, i.e., ₹21.05 million (~$283,025) during the last three financial years. The bidders should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last five years and must have bank solvency not less than 40% of the estimated projected cost, i.e., ₹16.84 million (~$226,503) at the current date.

If the bidder fails to complete the work and clear the site on or before the contract or extended date of completion, compensation of 1.5% per month of delay will be levied on per day basis. The total compensation for delay under this condition will not exceed 10% of the total project cost.

In 2019, Tata Memorial Center had issued a notice inviting tender for installing a 2 MW solar project at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Center in Mohali, Punjab.
