					</table><p>Vadodara Municipal Corporation <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/vadodara-corporation-3-mw-rooftop-solar-systems" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install 3 MW rooftop solar systems on its buildings. Bids must be submitted by February 24, 2025. Selected bidders must oversee the systems’ operation and maintenance for ten years. They must use modules included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The systems must be installed within 240 days of issuing the work order. The estimated work cost is ₹198.66 million (~$2.27 million).</p>
<p>Terra Clean, a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation, <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/terra-clean-floats-land-evacuation-bop-tender-for-275-mw-wind-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for land, power evacuation, and balance of plant (BoP) package for a 275 MW inter-state transmission system-connected wind project. Bids must be submitted by February 28, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day. The scope of work entails procuring land, setting up a power evacuation system, and completing the BoP package work for the wind project. It also includes operation and maintenance for five years. The project must be completed within 14 months of the award.</p>
<p>Public infrastructure finance company REC Limited <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/rec-revenue-q3-fy25" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recorded</a> a total income of ₹142.86 billion (~$1.63 billion) for the third quarter of the financial year 2025, an 18% year-over-year (YoY) increase. REC’s net profit for the quarter rose 23% YoY to ₹40.76 billion (~$465.35 million). The company’s earnings per share came in at ₹15.48 (~$0.18) compared to ₹12.56 (~$0.14) in the corresponding quarter last year. REC approved loans totaling ₹848.08 billion (~$9.68 billion) during the quarter, a 36% decrease YoY. The generation, and infrastructure and logistics sectors received the highest share at 26% each, followed by renewables (24%) and distribution (16%).</p>
<p>India’s installed solar capacity <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indias-installed-solar-capacity-surpasses-100-gw-joshi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">surpassed</a> 100 GW, the MNRE has announced. As of January 31, 2025, the installed solar capacity has reached 100.33 GW, Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi said. According to an MNRE release, 84.10 GW of solar installations are under implementation, and 47.49 GW are under tendering. Solar now contributes 47% of the total renewable energy capacity. Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh contributed most to India’s total utility-scale solar installations.</p>

					</table><p>Vadodara Division of <a href="https://wr.indianrailways.gov.in/?lang=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Western Railway</a> in Gujarat has invited bids to install 1.151 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at its stations and other locations.</p>
<p>The work should be completed within 12 months of receiving the work order.</p>
<p>The advertised value of the project is estimated to be ₹57.71 million (~$694,211).</p>
<p>The last day to submit the bids is February 12, 2024. Bids will be opened the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹438,600 (~$5,277).</p>
<p>The scope of work includes supplying, installing, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop solar systems with mono crystalline panels, inverters, MS hot-dipped galvanized structures, power conditioning units, junction boxes, AC and DC distribution boards, armored power and control cables, remote data monitoring systems, and net metering.</p>
<p>Bidders should have completed three similar works, each costing at least 30% of advertised value, or two similar works, each costing at least 40% of advertised value, or one similar work costing not less than 60% of advertised value during the last seven years.</p>
<p>Similar works can include commissioning, maintaining, and repairing solar modules, solar water heaters, solar lighting systems, or solar power packs for any central or state government department or public sector undertakings.</p>
<p>Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of ₹57.71 million (~$694,340) from the previous three financial years.</p>
<p>Recently, Sonpur Division of East Central Railway <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/railways-1-24-mw-rooftop-solar-bihar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for state-wise empanelment of agencies to implement 1.24 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at its electric loco shed in Barauni Junction through public-private partnership and on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis.</p>
<p>Earlier, Eastern Railway <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/railways-invites-rooftop-solar-project-howrah/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install a 1.125 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project without battery backup at its Howrah Division in West Bengal.</p>

					</table><p>Vadodara Municipal Corporation (<a href="https://vmc.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">VMC</a>) has invited bids to commission various solar projects of 1.5 MW cumulative capacity in Gujarat along with comprehensive operation and maintenance of 25 years.</p>
<p>The projects include:</p>
<ol>
<li>950 kW of rooftop solar installations on water tanks</li>
<li>450 kW of rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects at sewage treatment plants and pathways</li>
<li>Ten units of 10 kW solar trees at the VMC’s gardens</li>
</ol>
<p>The estimated cost of the entire work is ₹133.4 million (~$1.6 million).</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is November 20, 2023.</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹2.7 million (~$32,427). They must attach a valid solvency certificate of ₹40.1 million (~$481,609) along with the bid.</p>
<p>Bidders should have commissioned, operated, and maintained solar projects of 10 MW or more. One of these projects should be 1.5 MW or higher.</p>
<p>They must provide proof of achieving the targeted performance generation for at least one 300 kW solar project with a minimum of two years of operation and maintenance.</p>
<p>Bidders should be registered in the relevant electrical category with VMC, the public works department, or any Gujarat power distribution company. If they are not already registered with the VMC, they must complete the registration process within 30 days of receiving the work order.</p>
<p>Bidders must either be the original manufacturers or their authorized dealers. If the bidder is not the original manufacturer, they must submit a formal authorization letter from the manufacturer, specifically for the module and inverter components.</p>
<p>They should have an average annual turnover of at least ₹40.1 million (~$481,609) over the past three years.</p>
<p>Bidders must have completed construction works with an annual value of at least twice the estimated project cost over the past five years. At least 50% of this value should come from relevant engineering works carried out in any one of the last five years.</p>
<p>They should also have completed three similar works costing not less than ₹34.4 million (~$413,151), two similar works costing not less than ₹43 million (~$516,439), or one similar work costing not less than ₹68.8 million (~$826,302) during the last seven years.</p>
<p>VMC has mandated using domestically manufactured modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.</p>
<p>In January, Rajkot Municipal Corporation <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/gujarat-invites-bids-from-consultants-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to commission 4 MW ground-mounted off-grid solar power project.</p>
