<p><strong>JET Charge, an EV charging solutions provider, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/ev-charging-platform-jet-charge-receives-45-million-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> A$72 million (~$45 million) in funding. The funding was led by Mirova</strong>, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, through its Mirova Energy Transition Fund 6 (MET6), along with existing shareholders, including Clean Energy Finance Corporation (managed by Virescent Ventures), RACV, and Kilara Capital.</p>
<p><strong>Solar module manufacturer SWELECT Energy Systems has proposed </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/swelect-raise-debenture-sale" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>raising</strong></a><strong> ₹1.38 billion (~$16.22 million) by issuing 1,385 non-convertible debentures (NCDs)</strong> with a face value of ₹1 million (~$11,757) each through private placement. These secured, unlisted, rated, redeemable, non-cumulative, taxable NCDs will have a tenure of 12.5 years and a 9.5% average interest rate. The funds will strengthen the company’s finances.</p>
<p><strong>Jolt Energy Storage, a company specializing in organic energy storage materials, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/jolt-energy-storage-secures-4-million-in-series-a-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>raised</strong></a><strong> $4 million in Series A funding.</strong> The investors who participated in the round were not disclosed. The funding will help the company speed up its prototype development, including field testing, design, and manufacturing processes, leading to the commercial scalability of its organic flow battery design. The company plans to complete its 3 kW, four-hour prototype by December 2025.</p>
<p><strong>SustVest, a sustainable investment platform, </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sustainable-investment-platform-sustvest-raises-1-7-million-in-pre-series-a-round" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>raised</strong></a><strong> $1.7 million in a pre-series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures and Antler.</strong> This round also saw participation from WEH ventures, Venture Catalysts, Soonicorn Ventures, and FAAD Network. SustVest aims to use these funds to acquire solar projects, cover marketing expenses with the launch of the company’s regulated platform, manage operations, and cover legal costs.</p>
<p><strong>Aqua Metals, a lithium battery material recycling company, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/battery-recycling-company-aqua-metals-secures-million/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the closing of a $1.5 million bridge loan</strong> to fund its lithium battery recycling operations. Over 50% of the bridge loan was funded by management and members of the Board of Directors. The financing provides additional capital to advance Aqua Metals’ efforts to secure a definitive agreement on its long-term financing. The funding will be used to support the buildout of the Sierra ARC commercial facility and the future growth of the company.</p>

<p>SustVest aims to use these funds to acquire solar projects, cover marketing expenses with the launch of the company’s regulated platform, manage operations, and cover legal costs.</p>
<p>The company plans to develop a gateway for engineering, procurement, and construction services providers to access finance under the &#8216;operating expenditures’ model and bridge critical ecosystem gaps.</p>
<p>SustVest offers investors fixed-income opportunities while having a positive environmental impact. The company aims to provide commercial and industrial consumers access to solar projects at up to 50% lower tariffs.</p>
<p>The company claims its platform has over $5.05 million in assets under management with 9.3 MW of solar installations, distributing over $669,631 in energy income and saving over 9.4 million kg of carbon emissions.</p>
<p>The company serves global investors with projects spanning key locations in India, including in Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh.</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indias-top-five-solar-energy-funding-deals-in-2024-infographics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mercom’s Q3 2024 India Solar Market Update</a> report, India witnessed a 42.85% year-over-year increase in solar funding with the securing a cumulative $2 billion compared to $1.4 billion in 2023.</p>
<p>Global energy investment in 2024 is <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/clean-energy-investment-but-disparities-remain" target="_blank" rel="noopener">projected</a> to exceed $3 trillion, with $2 trillion dedicated to clean energy technologies and infrastructure, according to the World Energy Investment 2024 report by the International Energy Agency. This reflects a surge in clean energy investment since 2020, driven by advancements in renewable power, grids, and storage.</p>


Sustainable Investment Platform SustVest Raises $1.7 Million in Pre-Series A Round

<p>A Gurgaon-based sustainable investment firm <a href="https://www.sustvest.com/#!" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SustVest</a> has raised $160,000 from angel investors to enhance its presence in India’s clean energy market.</p>
<p>The funding round was led by early-stage investors Paurush Sonkar of Stallions Capital, Balaji Vaidyanathan, and Sandeep Shetty.</p>
<p>The investors will take a 15% per annum return from the income generated by the projects executed by SustVest. Investors will also hold digital ownership of the solar/EV (electric vehicle) assets, which would be leased to consumers.</p>
<p>Founded in 2018, Sustvest is a sustainable investment platform that allows individuals or companies to invest in renewable energy assets such as rooftop solar or EV charging points, starting with as low a figure as INR ₹5,000 (~$64.46). With the latest round of funds, the company aims to provide a sustainable platform to renewables sector stakeholders in India.</p>
<p>SustVest has a pipeline of clean energy projects worth $3 million, according to the company. The company provides access to pre-vetted deals bringing several potential investors together to fund a leased project to electricity consumers who pay monthly instalments to use the electricity generated.</p>
<p>Hardik Bhatia, CEO of SustVest, said, “Currently, we only deal with solar specific assets. With the funds raised, we plan to add more assets apart from solar rooftop projects. We want to expand our assets operations in small-scale hydro projects, wind projects, and greenhouses to provide sustainable assets to individual retail investors. In the next six months, we aim to onboard over 5,000 Investors and have over ₹100 million (~$1.52 million) worth of assets under management.”</p>
<p>Earlier this week, the manufacturer of sub-components for EVs, Revoh Innovations, <a href="https://mercomindia.com/revoh-raises-150000-to-build-production-facility/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised</a> $150,000 in a seed round from angel investors to build a motor controller production facility in Tamil Nadu.</p>
<p>Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ather-raises-128-million-from-niifl-hero-motocorp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised</a> $128 million from the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and Hero MotoCorp to accelerate the expansion of its production units in India, focusing on research and development.</p>
