<p>The Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (<a href="http://www.mprenewable.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MPUVNL</a>) has issued a tender to connect and synchronize existing non-functional off-grid solar projects at state government institutions.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹10,000 (~$137). The last date for the submission of bids is March 25, 2021.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes converting the existing off-grid projects at state government institutions and connecting them to the grid along with net metering facilities.</p>
<p>Selected bidders must supply and install inverters, generation meters, net meters and provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for five years. MPUVNL said that if more than 70% of the solar modules at a site are damaged, then the order will be canceled for that site.</p>
<p>To be eligible to participate in the competitive bidding process, applicants must have had prior experience designing, engineering, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning string solar inverters or rooftop solar projects, along with providing operation and maintenance services.</p>
<p>Alternatively, they must have installed a total of 100 kW of solar power projects. Applicants with experience restoring and converting off-grid solar projects to grid-connected or hybrid projects are also allowed to apply. Bidders must have had an average annual turnover of at least ₹1 million (~$13,708) in the last three financial years.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s India Tender Tracker, MPUVNL has floated tenders for 231 MW of grid-connected solar power projects as of January 2021.</p>
<p>Previously, MPUVNL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/madhya-pradesh-40-mw-rooftop-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to discover a tariff and implement a 40 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at various locations in the state. The projects will be developed under the renewable energy service company model.</p>
<p>Earlier, MPUVNL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/madhya-pradesh-100-mw-kusum/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for setting up 100 MW of grid-connected solar power projects under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan program. The power generated from the projects will be sold to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited.</p>
