The Central Electronics Limited (<a href="http://www.celindia.co.in/drupal7/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CEL</a>), a public-sector enterprise of the government of India, has tendered 100 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects to be developed across Maharashtra. The bid-submission deadline is June 20, 2018.
CEL has specified that the project sizes can vary anywhere between 500 kW to 2 MW at a single location. The projects will be developed on turnkey basis and the CEL is on the lookout for engineering procurement construction (EPC) contractor.
The scope of work includes all design, engineering, procurement and supply of equipment and materials (except solar PV modules and inverter), pre-dispatch testing of manufacturers’ works, inspection, packing, forwarding, receipt, unloading, storage at site, associated civil works, services, permits, licenses, installation, incidentals, insurance at all stages, installation, testing and commissioning of the grid-connected solar PV projects.
The successful bidder will provide operation and maintenance services for a 10-year period. The mechanical structures, all materials supplied by EPC contractor, electrical works and overall workmanship of the grid-connected solar PV project must be warranted for a period of 10 years from the date of commercial operation.
The project completion timeframe is 120 days from the date of issue of letter of award (LoA).
In <a href="https://mercomindia.com/cel-tender-100mw-solar-inverters/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">April 2018</a>, CEL had issued a tender for the supply of 100 MW of grid-tied central solar inverters with all the necessary accessories along with five years on-site warranty and another five years of maintenance service.
Previously, Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/cel-looks-epc-maharasthra-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that CEL was on the lookout for EPC contractors to develop 12 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects in Maharashtra.
