					</table><p>Indraprastha Gas (<a href="https://www.iglonline.net/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IGL</a>), a joint venture of <a href="https://gailonline.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GAIL India</a>, <a href="https://www.bharatpetroleum.in/index" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BPCL</a>, and the <a href="https://delhi.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Government of Delhi</a>, has invited bids to set up a 160 MW solar power project with a 28 MWh battery storage system in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>The successful bidder must operate and maintain the project for five years.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes survey, design, engineering, supply, procurement, installation, and construction, along with a 28 MWh battery energy storage system and a 220 kV or above transmission line with Central Transmission Utility connectivity.</p>
<p>The last date to submit bids is June 9, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit ₹80 million (~$836,112) as an earnest money deposit. Within 21 days of receipt of the contract, the successful bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee in the amount of 10% of the annualized contract value.</p>
<p>The project must be completed within 18 months of the contract award.</p>
<p>Bidders should have designed, supplied, supervised, erected, and commissioned solar projects (with or without supply of modules, but including balance of system) having a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one solar project must be of 10 MW or higher capacity. The 10 MW project should have been in operation for at least six months before the tender date.</p>
<p>They should have the required interstate transmission system (ISTS) connectivity in their name at the time of bid submission. The ISTS connectivity they offer, or the start date of that connectivity, should be within nine months of the bid submission date.</p>
<p>Bidders should be able to provide 100% of the land parcel to IGL required for setting up the proposed solar projectby way of outright purchase or a registered long-term lease with a provision for sublease at the time of bid submission.</p>
<p>Bidders should have a minimum annual turnover of ₹2.81 billion (~$29.37 million) in any of the last three financial years.</p>
<p>The bidders&#8217; net worth should be positive as per the audited financial results of the immediately preceding financial year.</p>
<p>Their working capital should be at least ₹561.4 million (~$5.87 million).</p>
<p>Solar modules for the project should be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List I, and cells should be from ALMM List II.</p>
<p>Last September, IGL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indraprastha-gas-rvunl-partner-to-develop-500-mw-solar-project-in-rajasthan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entered</a> into a joint venture agreement with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam to set up a 500 MW solar project in the state.</p>
<p>Earlier, GAIL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/gail-invites-bids-for-17-5-mw-floating-solar-project-in-uttar-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> an engineering, procurement, and construction tender for a 17.5 MW floating solar project at its facility in Pata, Uttar Pradesh.</p>

					</table><p>Indraprastha Gas (<a href="https://www.iglonline.net/dashboard" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IGL</a>) has entered a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (<a href="https://rrvunl.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">RVUNL</a>) for setting up a 500 MW solar project in the state.</p>
<p>In its annual report 2024-25, Indraprastha Gas said that it had entered into a memorandum of understanding with RVUNL to develop the solar project at a cost of ₹3.28 billion (~$37.22 million).</p>
<p>Under the agreement, IGL will hold a 74% majority stake in the joint venture (JV) company, while RVUNL will hold the remaining 26%. The shareholding arrangement grants IGL control over board decisions, allowing it to nominate four directors out of a total of six.</p>
<p>The JV’s initial paid-up capital is ₹500,000 (~$5,813.95), divided into 50,000 equity shares of ₹10 (~$0.12) each.</p>
<p>In its regulatory filing, Indraprastha Gas clarified that the transaction does not fall under the related party transaction category. It also stated that disclosures regarding amendments or termination of the agreement, including details of the parties, nature, execution date, reasons for termination, and impact, would be made as applicable.</p>
<p>The company is also in the process of setting up an agro-solar project with a capacity of ~20 MW under group net metering with two distribution companies to meet its captive power requirements in Delhi.</p>
<p>Recently, RVUNL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/rajasthan-issues-consultancy-tender-for-31-6-gw-solar-parks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> requests for proposals (RfP) to prepare feasibility-cum-detailed project reports for developing solar parks with a cumulative capacity of 31.6 GW across six locations in Rajasthan. The solar projects are in the Jaisalmer and Bikaner districts with capacities ranging from 21,00 MW to 12,500 MW.</p>
<p>In August this year, RVUNL and GAIL (India) <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/gail-ruvnl-joint-venture-to-develop-renewable-energy-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entered</a> a joint venture agreement to develop large-scale renewable energy projects and the transfer of existing gas-based power assets in Rajasthan. The JV company will target developing approximately 750 MW of solar and 250 MW of wind capacity. The renewable energy projects are expected to be bundled with the existing gas-based power output to ensure efficient and complementary power generation.</p>
<p>In the same month, RVUNL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/rajasthan-floats-tender-for-500-mw-2000-mwh-of-standalone-bess" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an RFP to set up 500 MW/2,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems under the build-own-operate model within the state. The project will receive viability gap funding.</p>


Indraprastha Gas, RVUNL Partner to Develop 500 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

<p>Tata Motors Limited (<a href="https://www.tatamotors.com">TML</a>), a global automobile manufacturer, and Tata Power have joined forces to set up around 300 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations by the end of FY 2020.</p>
<p>The two companies launched seven charging stations in Pune, Maharashtra. The other fast-charging stations are planned to be installed in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. In the next two months, 45 charging stations are slated to be installed in the four cities apart from Pune. The EV chargers are located at Tata Motors dealerships, some Tata Group retail outlets and other public places.</p>
<p>“We are happy to partner with Tata Power for taking the first step in developing a ubiquitous EV charging infrastructure in India. This partnership is an important milestone in our journey to offer complete ecosystem solutions and offer peace of mind to our customers. We remain committed to the sustainable mobility mission and will continue to work towards bringing aspirational e-mobility solutions for the customers, leading the drive towards faster adoption of electric vehicles in the country,” said Guenter Butschek, CEO &amp; MD of Tata Motors.</p>
<p>Tata Motors electric vehicle customers would be receiving free vehicle charging for three months. Tata Power will run the charging stations that will follow the Bharat standard (15 kW) for the first fifty chargers. After 50, the charging stations will follow 30 to 50 kW DC CCS (combined charging system) 2 standard. CCS is one of many contending standards for charging plugs and vehicle communication.</p>
<p>Tata Power installed Mumbai’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/tata-power-installs-first-ev-charging-station-mumbai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">first EV charging station</a> in Vikhroli, followed by <a href="https://mercomindia.com/tata-power-ev-charging-stations-mumbai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">additional charging</a> stations earlier this year. Recently, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India’s leading gas distribution companies signed an MoU with <a href="https://www.tatapower.com/media/PressReleaseDetails/1653/tata-power-and-mahanagar-gas-ltd-collaborate-to-offer-integrated-services" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Tata Power</a>. Through this agreement, both the companies will explore possibilities of co-operation. Among other things, their cooperation would also focus on solar rooftop initiatives and setting up of commercial-scale <a href="https://mercomindia.com/tata-mgl-collaborate-solar-ev-charging/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">charging and battery swapping</a> stations for electric vehicles, with the allied power management solutions.</p>

<p>Last year, Tata Power and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), an Indian state-owned oil and natural gas company, signed <a href="https://mercomindia.com/tata-power-hpcl-mou-ev-charging-stations-india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">an agreement</a> for setting up commercial-scale EV charging stations at the HPCL retail outlets and other locations across India.</p>
<p>Earlier, <a href="https://mercomindia.com/vakrangee-ev-charging-stations-india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Vakrangee</a> Limited, a technology-oriented company, announced plans of establishing charging infrastructure units for EVs across India.</p>
