Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has invited bids to provide consultancy services for 10 MW grid-connected solar projects with a land lease at any location in Gujarat.

The scope of work includes comprehensive maintenance for up to 10 years, including free maintenance during the first year.

The last date for the submission of bids is January 8, 2024.

Bidders have to submit ₹1,770 (~$21.27) as a bid fee and an earnest money deposit of ₹45,000 (~$540.93)

The task is segmented into two components: (i) Obtain approval for drawings, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for materials/equipment, pre-dispatch inspection, and site supervision, and (ii) Conduct performance testing and verify energy generation.

Failure to meet the deadline specified by SMC at the time of execution of the work will result in a penalty of 0.20% per day for the unexecuted portion of the sanctioned tender amount, not exceeding 10% of the unexecuted portion of the sanctioned tender amount.

The consultant should have a minimum of five years of expertise in solar projects. If it’s a consulting firm, there must be at least one professional within the firm with this level of experience.

The consultant must demonstrate a successful track record, having completed consultancy for at least three separate jobs involving either ground-mounted solar projects or rooftop solar projects.

Collectively, these projects should have a minimum capacity of 5 MW and should have been executed for government, semi-government organizations, public sector units, or well-known public companies.

The consultant should have access to software for analyzing energy generation potential at a specific location. This software could include PVSyst, Helioscope, or an equivalent tool.

Last year, SMC issued two engineering, procurement, and construction tenders for surveying, installing, testing, and commissioning 4 MW of grid-connected solar projects in Surat, Gujarat.

Earlier, SMC issued a tender for 2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across various health centers, water distribution stations, and other government buildings in Surat.
