Sterling and Wilson’s Q3 Revenue Up 14%, Profits Reducing 91%

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) reported a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹20.92 billion (~$231.42 million million) for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year (FY) 2026, a 14% year-over-year (YoY) increase from ₹18.37 billion (~$203.21 million).
The company’s profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹15.5 million (~$171,449.75), down 91% from ₹171.4 million (~$2 million) in the same quarter of the previous year.
Its earnings per share (EPS) for Q3 came in at a negative ₹0.12 (~$0.0013), compared to ₹0.63 (~$0.007) a year ago.
The consolidated results include exceptional losses of ₹6.11 billion (~$67.57 million) arising from an arbitration matter, which resulted in the dismissal of recoverable claims and additional legal costs.
The company’s outstanding claims of ₹1.43 billion (~$15.83 million) raised through indemnity agreements with promoter selling shares are expected to be received by January 31, 2026.
9M FY 2026
SWREL reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹56.02 billion (~$619.7 million) in the first nine months (9M) of FY 2026, rising 48% YoY from ₹37.82 billion (~$418.42 million).
The profit after tax stood at a negative ₹4.37 billion (~$48.38 million), a 1,532% decline from a PAT of ₹305.4 million (~$3.38 million) in the same period last year.
EPS came in at a negative ₹19.01 (~$0.21), compared to ₹1.12 (~$0.012) in the corresponding period of last year.
In Q2, SWREL’s revenue had jumped 69.8% YoY to ₹17.49 billion (~$198.9 million) from ₹10.3 billion (~$117.15 million).
SWREL was among the winners of NTPC Renewable Energy’s auction for the balance of system works for 1.4 GW of grid-connected solar power projects in Chitrakoot (2 x 400 MW) and Lalitpur (2 x 300 MW) in Uttar Pradesh, securing 400 MW solar projects in Chitrakoot-2.
The company also secured a ₹13.81 billion (~$154.5 million) engineering, procurement, and construction order from Adani Green Energy for solar projects in the Khavda region, Gujarat.
