Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) has secured engineering, procurement and construction contracts for three solar projects with a total value of ₹17.72 billion (~$201.91 million).
The company has been declared the lowest bidder for the EPC of a 363 MW solar project in Rajasthan and a 580 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh. With these new contracts, the total EPC order inflows for the current fiscal year have crossed ₹37.75 billion (~$430.13 million).
In addition, the company received a letter of intent for a 115 MW solar project in South Africa valued at approximately $120 million. This marks the company’s third project in South Africa, where it is already executing two projects.
The company’s portfolio includes utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid, energy storage, and wind projects. SWREL’s total installed and under-construction project portfolio stands at over 24.4 GW. It also has an operations and maintenance portfolio of 9.1 GW, including projects built by third parties.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy reported a revenue jump by 69.8% year-over-year to ₹17.49 billion (~$198.9 million) in the second quarter of the financial year 2026 from ₹10.3 billion (~$117.15 million). The company attributed the revenue growth to an increase in domestic and international engineering, procurement, and construction project execution.
In September this year, the company received a letter of intent from a private independent power producer for the EPC of the balance of system (BoS) package for a 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan. The estimated contract value of the project is ₹4.15 billion (~$47 million). The company will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project.
In August this year, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy won NTPC Renewable Energy’s EPC auction to set up a 245 MW solar project in Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.
