South Central Railway Invites Bids for 2.7 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

The Hyderabad Division, Electrical-South Central Railway has issued a tender for 2.742 MW of rooftop solar projects of different capacities at station buildings, service buildings, residential buildings, and level crossings, and a ground-mounted 300 kW solar project.
The last date to submit bids is July 3, 2024.
The projects must be completed within four months of receiving the work order.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹1.18 billion (~$14.13 million). The cost of the tender document is non-refundable.
They should have completed similar work, such as supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning a solar power generating system with at least 5 kW capacity, the minimum capacity for either grid-connected or off-grid systems.
Bidders should have completed any of the following in the last seven years: three similar works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of the ₹20.56 billion (~$24.62 million) value of the tender, or two similar works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the tender value; or one similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the tender value.
Work experience certificates issued by any government organization or a public listed company having an average annual turnover of ₹5 billion (~$59.88 million) and above in the last three financial years must be submitted.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or ‘V,’ whichever is less, where V is the advertised value of the tender and N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited. This will be calculated as an average of the total contractual payments in the previous three financial years.
The Secunderabad Division, Electrical, South Central Railway, had issued a tender for 1.782 MW of rooftop solar projects of different capacities at station buildings, service buildings, residential buildings, and level crossings.
The Southern Railway had also invited bids to set up grid-connected rooftop solar power projects of a cumulative capacity of 1.55 MW at various service buildings and railway colonies in the Chennai division.
