The Vijayawada Division of the South Central Railway has announced the winner of the auction to install 46 rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 1,415 kW.

Servotech Renewable Power Systems won the auction to install the rooftop solar systems with capacities ranging from 5 kW to 100 kW, on covered platforms, station buildings, and service buildings.

The installations include three 100 kW systems, six 50 kW systems, six 40 kW systems, eight 30 kW systems, six 25 kW systems, five 20 kW systems, five 10 kW systems, and seven 5 kW systems.

The tender was issued in February 2026.

The scope of work includes the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems.

Servotech will also be responsible for supplying and laying low-tension underground cables and switchgear equipment, excavation and trenching for cables, earthing arrangements, the erection of high-rise mounting structures, and the dismantling and removal of roof iron sheets.

The technical specifications require the use of maximum power point tracking technology with solar photovoltaic arrays and TOPCon glass-to-glass bifacial solar modules. The systems must include module mounting structures, power conditioning units, pure sine wave inverters, protection systems, interconnection cables, switches, and all associated accessories necessary for commissioning.

The scope includes the supply and laying of low-tension underground XLPE aluminum-armored cables, excavation and refilling of cable trenches, laying of HDPE ducts, earthing systems, outdoor kiosks, switchgear equipment, GI cable-support pipes, and cable junction boxes.

The project must be completed within six months of the award date.

The interconnection voltage specified is 1,100 volts using low-tension underground cables.

All systems will operate under a net metering arrangement, with associated metering costs payable to the respective distribution company.

Last September, Servotech secured an order from the Moradabad Division of Northern Railway to install a 1.229 MW rooftop solar project at residential and service buildings, as well as level crossing gates.

Earlier, Servotech secured Northeast Frontier Railway’s auction to develop 7.8 MW rooftop solar power projects in Assam’s Rangiya division.
