SJVN Green Invites Bids for 125 MW Solar Project in Bihar

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids to commission a 125 MW grid-connected solar power project in Jamui, Bihar.
The selected developer must complete the project within 465 days and provide three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance service.
The last day to submit bids is January 17, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.
The cost of the bidding document is ₹10,000 (~$120). Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹24.4 million (~$294,862).
Bidders should have previously commissioned balance of system of grid-connected solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of at least 30 MW. At least one project of 10 MW or higher capacity should be operating for at least three months before the date of bid submission.
Alternatively, bidders may also participate if they have commissioned a solar project with a cumulative installed capacity of at least 30 MW. A reference project of 10 MW or higher must be in operation for at least three months.
Bidders who have executed power, steel, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, or coal industrial projects valued at ₹710 million (~$8.57 million) in a single project that has been operating for the last six months can also submit their bids.
They should also have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers, which has been in successful operation in the last six months.
Bidders should have an annual average turnover of ₹710 million ($8.57 million) in the last three financial years and a working capital of at least ₹312.5 million ($3.77 million).
They should also have a positive net worth in the last financial year, with two out of the last three financial years being positive.
SJVN Green Energy was one of the winners in the auction conducted by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to procure 500 MW of power on a long-term basis from Phase IX of grid-connected intrastate solar projects. SJVN Green Energy won 200 MW by quoting a price of ₹2.95 (~$0.036)/kWh.
The company also recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Grid Corporation of Odisha to develop 1 GW of hydroelectric projects and 2 GW of solar power projects.
According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, SJVN Green has so far floated tenders for 1.6 GW of solar projects.
