SECI Invites Bids for 260 MW Module Supply for Project in Madhya Pradesh

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids to supply domestically manufactured 260 MW solar modules to a project location in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.
Bids must be submitted by May 20, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹56 million (~$657,121) and a contract performance security of 10% of the total project cost for 27 months.
They must quote for the entire capacity. They must also quote the freight charges after calculating the distance between the supplier’s and the project’s locations.
The scope of work covers manufacturing, testing, packing, forwarding, supplying, and transporting the modules to the project location.
Selected bidders must supply spare parts worth 0.5% of the awarded capacity.
They must provide modules with a minimum capacity of 234 MWp and a maximum capacity of 286 MWp. They must also provide a warranty of 25 years for the modules.
Additionally, successful bidders must provide a product warranty for 10 years for all defects and workmanship. They must purchase an insurance policy valid for 25 years and cover at least 6% of the total costs.
Successful bidders must depute as an authorized representative to the site for all supplies.
The modules must be monocrystalline (monofacial or bifacial) or thin film cadmium telluride models. The module supply must be completed within 12 months.
The tender also includes a 12-month defect liability period from the material delivery date.
Only modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) must be supplied.
Bidders must be Class I local suppliers. They must also be an ALMM-listed company with a minimum manufacturing capacity of 390 MW/annum.
Bidders must have a minimum financial turnover of ₹2.24 billion (~$26.28 million) in the last three financial years. They must have a positive net worth in the previous financial year.
In November 2024, SECI invited bids to manufacture, test, pack, forward, supply, and transport 400 MW of Domestic Content Requirement compliant solar modules to a project site in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.
