RIMS Invites Bids for 1.4 MW Rooftop Solar Systems at its Campus in Manipur

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has invited bids to install 1.4 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on RESCO mode at its buildings in Imphal, Manipur.
Bids must be submitted by January 17, 2026. Bids will be opened on January 19.
The estimated tender value is ₹5 million (~$55,543).
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹1 million (~$11,108).
Selected bidders must furnish ₹2 million (~$22,217) as a performance bank guarantee within 30 days of issuing the letter of award.
The scope of work encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems, as well as grid connectivity and net-metering approvals with the respective power distribution companies.
Bidders will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the systems for the 25-year power purchase agreement term, including replacement of modules, inverters, and spares, as well as insurance and meeting annual capacity utilization factor performance guarantees.
The systems should be installed within 12 months of the issuance of the letter of allocation.
Bidders should have installed and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar power project with a capacity of at least 10 MW at least six months before the bid opening date.
They should have an annual turnover of ₹50 million (~$555,402)/MW in any of the last three financial years.
The bidders’ net worth should be at least ₹30 million (~$333,241)/MW as of the last financial year.
India added 4.9 GW of rooftop solar capacity in the first nine months of the calendar year 2025, compared to 1.9 GW in the previous year, a 161% year-over-year increase, according to Mercom India’s Q3 2025 India Rooftop Solar Market Report.
In cumulative terms, installations reached 18.6 GW as of September 2025, with Gujarat leading at 4.8 GW, followed by Maharashtra at 2.8 GW and Rajasthan at 1.33 GW. Kerala and Uttar Pradesh followed with 1.30 GW and 1.29 GW, respectively.
