Adani Green’s Q3 Profit Rises 24.2% on Higher Renewable Energy Sales

Revenue for the quarter dropped 4.3% YoY

Adani Green Energy’s (AGEL) revenue dropped 4.3% year-over-year (YoY) to ₹32.49 billion(~$368.5 million) in the second quarter (Q2) of the financial year (FY) 2026 from ₹33.96 billion (~$385 million).

Net profit rose 24.2% to ₹6.4 billion (~$72.6 million) from ₹5.15 billion (~$58.4 million) a year ago.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) stood at ₹25.43 billion (~$288 million), up 19% YoY from ₹21.4 billion (~$242.75 million).

Adani Green attributed the EBITDA growth to greenfield capacity additions of 5.5 GW in FY 2025, deployment of advanced renewable technologies, and strong project performance.

Earnings per share (EPS) came in at ₹3.44 (~$0.039) compared to ₹1.54 (~$0.017) in the same quarter of the previous year.

1H Results

In the first half (1H) of FY 2026, Adani Green’s revenue increased 11.6% YoY to ₹72.55 billion (~$822.9 million) from ₹65 billion (~$737 million).

The company attributed the growth to a 25.8% increase in revenue from the power supply business to ₹60.8 billion (~$689.7 million) from ₹48.36 billion (~$548.5 million) in 1H FY 2025.

Net profit increased by 28.7% YoY to ₹14.68 billion (~$166.5 million) from ₹11.4 billion (~$129 million).

EBITDA rose 25% YoY to ₹56.5 billion (~$640.9 million) from ₹45.18 billion (~$512.5 million).

EPS came in at ₹7.7 (~$0.08) compared to ₹4.17 (~$0.047) in 1H FY 2025.

Business Highlights

As of 1H FY 2026, the company’s operational capacity stood at 16.7 GW, up 49% YoY.

Its greenfield capacity additions in this period comprise 74% of all capacity additions in FY 2025.

Ashish Khanna, CEO at Adani Green, said that with 2.4 GW of renewable energy capacity added in 1H FY 2026, the company is on track to achieve 5 GW capacity additions during FY 2026 and 50 GW by 2030.

Energy sales rose 39% YoY in 1H FY 2026, backed by robust capacity additions and strong operational performance.

The company’s power purchase agreement-based electricity generation was 57% of the annual commitment during the period.

Its operational capacity at the 30 GW renewable energy project in Khavda stands at 7.1 GW. The company expects to operationalize the entire capacity by 2029.

In Q1 FY 2026, AGEL reported a 31% YoY revenue surge to ₹33.13 billion (~$382 million) from ₹25.28 billion (~$291 million).

Recently, Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A, a subsidiary of Adani Green, operationalized a 50 MW solar project at Khavda.
