RECPDCL Issues EPC Tender for 1 MW Solar Project in Haryana

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 1 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project in Haryana.
Bids must be submitted by January 3, 2025.
Eligible bidders must submit a non-refundable tender processing fee of ₹5,000 (~$60.15). They must also submit an earnest money deposit of ₹ 510,000 (~$6,135.30) with a validity of 180 days from the bid opening date. A performance security deposit of 10% of the total contract value must also be furnished.
The project involves acquiring approximately five acres of land on a leasehold basis for a minimum of 29 years and 11 months near the State Transmission Utility (STU) substation in Haryana.
Selected contractors must manage the project’s lifecycle for five years, including the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance (O&M). The selected contractor must also arrange land and connectivity to the STU.
The EPC component includes installing solar modules, module mounting structures, and other critical components.
Additionally, the contractor must install fire protection and telemetry systems for real-time monitoring. Comprehensive O&M services for five years will include the supply of spares, consumables, and timely maintenance of equipment.
Bidders should have completed three similar works with a capacity of at least 400 kW, two similar works with a capacity of 500 kW, or one similar work with a capacity of at least 800 kW in the last seven years. Similar works refer to the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of ground-mounted grid-connected solar systems.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹420,000 (~$5.06 million) in the last three financial years (FY 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24).
The net worth of the bidders for the last financial year must be positive.
In December 2023, RECPDCL issued a tender to develop of 223 MW solar power projects. The project will connect solar power to the Inter-State Transmission System, integrating renewable energy with thermal and hydropower stations under a flexible scheduling arrangement.
