The REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has invited bids to  set up an Inter-State Transmission (ISTS) System to evacuate up to 3.5 GW of renewable energy from Lakadia in Gujarat.

The last date to submit bids is November 11, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The project must be completed within 18 months.

The scope of work covers developing the Transmission System for Augmentation of Transformation Capacity at 765/400 kV Lakadia S/s (WRSS XXI (A) TRANSCO LTD) in Gujarat – Part B through a competitive bidding process.

The transmission system would facilitate the integration of 2.5 GW power beyond 1 GW from various renewable energy projects in Lakadia REZ.

It also involves implementing a 22 kV line bay for Juniper Green Energy, TEQ Green Power, Ganeko Solar, TEQ Green Power XVII, Renew Solar (Shakti Eight), Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India, Serentica Renewables India, RDS Solar Park, and Percentum Renewables.

The scope of work covers the installation of a 1×330 MVAr 765 kV Bus Reactor (2nd) along with an associated bay and augmenting transformation capacity at Lakadia PS by 1×1500 MVA, 765/400 kV ICTs (3rd).

The scope of work covers the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the project on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. It also includes activities like survey, detailed project report formulation, arranging finance, project management, clearances and permits (way leave, environment & forest, civil aviation, railway/ road/river/canal/power crossing), land compensation, design, engineering, equipment, material, construction, erection, testing and commissioning.

Bidders must fulfill at least one of the following criteria:
