Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments, Tenders 10 MW Solar on Behalf of ONGC

Rajasthan Electronic and Instruments Ltd. (REIL), has tendered a 10 MW (AC) solar project on behalf of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), to be set up at Hazira in Gujarat. The project will be funded and owned by ONGC. The tender value has been fixed at Rs. 650 million (~$9.6 million).

The successful engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contractor will set up the project at ONGC Hazira premises in Gujarat. The bid-submission deadline is January 6, 2017. The REIL has mandated that the project to be completed within 210 days of receipt of Letter of Award (LOA).

The project will be developed on a turnkey basis and the scope of work includes; design, engineering, procurement and supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage at site, site development, construction, erection & installation of equipment, testing and commissioning along with associated transmission system of 11 kV of Hazira project, and comprehensive operation and maintenance for a three-year period after successful operation of plant for one year after commissioning.

The REIL has also mandated that the successful EPC contractor must submit a performance bank guarantee, amounting to 10 percent of the project cost. Only Indian companies can participate in the bidding.
