The Katihar Division of the North East Frontier Railway has issued two tenders to install a cumulative capacity of 3.4 MW rooftop solar systems across railway stations, level crossing gates, service buildings, and residential buildings.

The tenders are divided into two capacities: one for 1.75 MW and another for 1.718 MW.

The last date for the submission of bids is December 9, 2024.

The estimated value of each tender is ₹90.7 million (~$1.07 million).

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹603,700 (~$7151).

The projects must be completed in three months.

The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems of various capacities ranging from 1 kW to 500 kW.

Bidders must provide accessories like solar panels, inverters, cables, mounting structures, and earthing systems.

The tender also covers installing net metering systems, distribution boards, and other electrical components.

Bidders must have completed similar solar power system projects for government agencies or PSUs in the past seven years as follows:

Similar nature of work is defined as the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a solar project with a single project having a minimum capacity of 30% of the total tendered quantity. The work must have been executed at railway stations, metro stations, airports, or office/service buildings/hospitals of Central/State Government or their PSUs.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of either V/N or ‘V,’ whichever is lower. Here, ‘V’ represents the advertised value of the tender, and ‘N’ denotes the number of years allocated for completing the work as specified in the tender.

The average annual contractual turnover will be determined based on the “total contractual payments” recorded in the audited balance sheets of the last three financial years.

The division also issued two tenders to provide 3.2 MW rooftop solar systems at various buildings, service stations, staff quarters, and parking areas in Guwahati. The last date to submit the bids is December 6, 2024.

The division also invited bids for 5.7 MW rooftop solar power projects to install rooftop solar systems on service, residential, and station buildings. The last date to submit the bids is December 5, 2024.
