Punjab Transmission Corporation Tenders 2.7 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

The Punjab State Transmission Corporation (PSTCL) has invited bids for the installation of 2.702 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects, on the control rooms of its 400/220/132kV substations and the State Load Despatch Center (SLDC) building under the CAPEX model.

The rooftop solar systems will be installed on 43 buildings in Patiala and Bhatinda, with a total capacity of 1.384 MW (Package I), and on 50 buildings in Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar, with a total capacity of 1.318 MW (Package II).

The scope of work includes the design, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance for five years.

The last date to submit bids is April 28, 2026. Bids will be opened on April 30.

Bidders must submit a ₹2.5 million (~$26,391) earnest money deposit. The successful bidder should furnish a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the total contract value.

The project at each site must be commissioned within one year of the issuance of the work order.

The net worth of bidders during the last financial years should be positive.The minimum annual turnover of bidders for the best three financial years out of the last five, and liquid assets, should be ₹14 million (~$147,792) for Package I and ₹13.3 million (~$140,403) for Package II to be eligible.

The modules to be used for the project must be bifacial modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers with a rated capacity of 540 Wp or higher.

The successful bidder should take full responsibility for the electrical safety of the installations, including grid connectivity, and comply with all safety rules and regulations as per the Indian Electricity Act, 2003.

Last December, the Punjab State Power Corporation issued a request for selection to procure 500 MW of solar power from projects located anywhere in the state.

Earlier, the Punjab Energy Development Agency invited expressions of interest to set up 40 MW of canal-top solar power projects.
