Agilitas Energy acquires 60 MW energy storage portfolio in Texas
April 5, 2023
From: Mercom Capital Group
Enerparc’s Australian arm sold 193 MW of its Australian solar portfolio to Ingka Investments. The portfolio comprises three ground-mounted solar projects located in New South Wales, including two operational solar parks in Peak Hill and Trundle, near Parkes, in central-west New South Wales, with a cumulative capacity of 13.3 MW. The third utility-scale 180 MW solar PV park is currently under development and expected to start production at the end of 2025.
Agilitas Energy, developer, owner, and operator of distributed energy storage and solar projects, acquired a portfolio of six standalone energy storage system projects for $75 million in Texas from Gulf States Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of GSR Energy. The acquisition and new market entry will add 60 MW to Agilitas Energy’s renewable energy and battery storage project pipeline of more than 1 GW.
Nxtra Data, a subsidiary of telecom company Bharti Airtel, has acquired an additional stake of 5.464% in Avaada MHAmravati, a subsidiary of Avaada Energy, for ₹23.9 million (~$290,663). The stake acquisition will help Nxtra Data procure power generated from Avaada MHAmravati, a special-purpose vehicle that owns and operates renewable energy projects, such as wind, solar, biomass, hydro, and co-generation, for captive use.
JSW Neo Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of independent power producer JSW Energy, will acquire Mytrah Energy’s 12 special purpose vehicles (SPV) within the already agreed consideration. The cumulative consideration for 12 SPVs stands at ₹18.2 million (~$221,024). The 12 SPVs generate, distribute, transmit, and supply electrical energy through conventional and non-conventional methods, including wind and solar. These assets are spread across 17 wind farms and 21 solar projects in nine states – Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.
EEW, an independent renewable energy project developer, sold a 42 MW solar PV project in Sweden to a Sweden-based large solar and wind project developer. The project in southern Sweden is targeted to reach ready-to-build status in 2023 and commence operations in 2024. Once completed, the solar farm is estimated to generate around 41 GWh of clean and sustainable energy annually.
