Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) invites proposals for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for the public at designated locations in Pune.
PMC has issued a list of 92 locations at PMC-owned parking facilities, gardens, hospitals, and auditoriums for installing charging stations.
The charging stations will be commissioned on a public-private partnership model.
The last day to submit the bids is December 13, 2022. Bids will be opened the next day.
According to the terms of the bid document, interested bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹500,000 (~$6,145) and a tender fee of ₹20,000 (~$245).
Bidders must also submit a performance security of ₹2.5 million (~$30,740).
Selected bidders must commence the project within fourteen days of signing the contract and commission them within six months.
In case of any delay in the execution of work, a penalty of ₹5,000 per day will be levied.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹50 million (~$613,759) in the last three financial years and a net worth of ₹25 million (~$307,401) as of March 31, 2022.
Bidders must have experience installing, operating, and maintaining a minimum of ten EV charging stations.
Operators of fully electric buses with a minimum fleet size of ten buses can also bid.
PMC will provide a list of locations and a designated parking area equivalent to two four-wheelers and two three-wheelers at each location.
Additionally, two extra four-wheeler spaces will be provided at PMC-owned parking spaces. The spaces will be allotted for eight years.
Another state agency, the Goa Energy Development Agency, has invited expressions of interest cum bids for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of 40 EV charging stations at various locations in Goa.
Earlier, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company invited bids for the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of EV charging and battery swapping stations at 205 locations.
