Ordnance Factory in Uttar Pradesh Issues EoI for a 15 MW Solar Project at its Premises

Muradnagar Ordnance Factory has invited an expression of interest (EoI) from solar power developers for installing a solar project of 15 MW capacity at its premises in Uttar Pradesh.
The scope of work, according to the EoI, includes the design, supply, erection, and commissioning of the ground-mounted and grid-connected solar power projects.
The purchaser is expected to arrange the construction of buildings on which the contractors will develop the solar projects. The contractor will have to provide the specifications and drawings for civil works beforehand to the purchaser for the construction of the buildings, and foundations.
Prospective bidders should have engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) experience of similar solar projects for metallurgical or machining either in India or in any other country.
Bidder is also supposed to have an average annual turnover of a minimum of 30% of the estimated cost during the last three years or should have experience of executing one project, not less than 80% of the estimated cost.
The last date for bid submission for the EoI is October 20, 2019.
Last month, Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) floated a tender for grid-interactive rooftop solar power projects between 1 kW to 25 kW at various locations in the state which will be eligible for subsidies by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Also, UPNEDA issued a tender for 16 MW of grid-interactive rooftop solar projects for captive use (Capex Mode) atop various government buildings across the state.
